• Single-phase connection: Typically supports up to 7kW charging, making any single-phase of 7kW EV charging station the perfect solution.
• Three-phase connection: Can support faster AC charging up to 11kW or 22kW charging, making any single or three phase unit a compatible solution which the three-phase supply can support.

2. Understand the Vehicle’s Charging Capacity

For example, most EV’s such as Tesla models support 3 phase AC charging so it will get a lot of benefit from installing a 22kW charger if possible. On the other hand, most popular BYD models only support single phase charging, so installing a 3-phase charger will have no benefit over a single phase.
